This Morning Outside

I had almost no time to walk before going to work this morning. I'm glad I went out anyway and spent those 15 minutes loitering beside the pond at sunrise. That was golden!

The Ring-necked Duck, with his button of an eye, swam all alone, but my little brown dog and I saw him.

Usually I need a spotting scope to watch ducks, but this fellow was up close. Such a fine start to the day. Birding is everywhere!
