This Morning Outside

Does this Cooper's Hawk have a hungry look? It's poised to take off from a branch in the wild cherry tree. This agile hawk can twist with terrible speed through the branches and snatch a smaller bird who stopped paying attention for one second.

A Cooper's Hawk must catch a wild bird every day, or die. This one is young, hatched this very year, and still learning its skills for survival.
