This Morning Outside

Every day, two field sparrows try to look like they're not up to anything in the unmown field. Just watching me watch them. Once I found a field sparrow nest on the ground, tucked in beside a clump of wild blackberries. How can their nests ever succeed, considering how many mammals and snakes and birds are hunting for food? But the sparrows guard their secret.

What? Us? Nothin' interesting going on here.
