This Morning Outside

I've always considered May 14 to be the finest day of the year for watching birds. This morning the woods were crackling with warblers, all in song. One of my favorites (but aren't they all?) is the American redstart, who is made of orange sherbet.

Wherever and whoever you are, I hope you see a warbler today. I hope it sings for you.
