This Morning Outside

Looking carefully at each bird in the big cluster of goldfinches in the trees, I am as pleased as a child finding the prize in the Cracker Jacks (back when Cracker Jacks prizes were really something). This prize is an American Tree Sparrow, a native sparrow. This sparrow is a special delight because it comes only in winter. A foul-weather friend. What could be better?
