This Morning Outside

I try not to read human emotions into birds' faces, but it's hard when it comes to brown thrashers. They always look as if they're in a cross mood.

This thrasher was thrashing at the ground with its beak, finding lots of soggy-looking squishy things and swallowing them. Probably having a wonderful time and perfectly happy despite another morning of cold, wind, and rain.
