This Morning Outside

It was 5 degrees when I got up, and by sunrise the temp had dropped to 4. That is when the common redpoll showed up. What a good start to the day!

This is a wee bird, much smaller than a house finch or a purple finch. It's about the same size as a goldfinch or a pine siskin.
