Is this the same female cardinal I saw without a tail on December 26?

In this photo's perspective you can see that she has a shorter-than-normal tail.

Here is another photo. In this one you can see more easily how ragged the tail is.

Is it a hastily grown replacement, and is it fragile and more susceptible to damage than a tail grown at the normal time?
