Bird Watcher's Digest

This Morning Outside

Today brought snow again, when we thought we'd get no more. It also brought the first-of-the-year fox sparrows, warm and rusty. This one scuffed about in my garden all morning and then retired to a tree, perhaps to digest what it had eaten. I wonder where this bird was yesterday. Maybe one or two states to the south of me.
