What a delight for Black Saddlebags to perch in the wild field and wait patiently for me to take a picture! I love the blues and purples of his abdomen, like velvet medieval draperies. Are the yellow patches lamplight shining from within?

And how did he happen choose to wear a pink fur ruff around his raspberry-and-plums head?
