Singing his tiny lisp of a song this morning at the top of his lungs, the Henslow's sparrow doesn't trust just one twig. He spreads the risk between a couple of far-spaced footholds.
Henslow's sparrows depend on grasslands, as that's the only place they can nest. Good reason for keeping some land in grasses, especially native grasses.
