Duet for Two Voices

Two melodies composed side by side, a harmony of ruby-throated hummingbird and the columbine of the prairies.

One with long corollas, nectar at the tip, and a desire to have its pollen spread. The other with a needle of a beak, the power to stand still in mid air, and a passion for nectar.

Distilled sunlight, both of them.
