Birders' Buddy was designed BY birders FOR birders. Every detail functions to meet the needs of active birdwatchers.

The upper pockets hold lens caps or glasses -- in either an easy-access or security position.

The upper left pocket keeps a pencil.

The lower pockets are large and deep enough to hold a bird book (or several), your camera, binoculars, and odds and ends. (Even the larger-sized National Geographic Guide fits -- with the pocket flap sealed.)

The back stuff pocket is large enough to easily carry your jacket and lunch.

Year-round comfort! The vest has open sides, for ventilation in hot weather. (Velcro straps keep it together.) In winter, you can expand the straps and wear the vest over your bulkiest coat.

Corral those binoculars! You can tuck them under the upper clasp on the vest to prevent excessive bouncing while walking.

Your birding tool kit! Keep your Birders' Buddy loaded with all those little gadgets you like to have with you birding: insect repellent, lens cleaner, Kleenex, notebook, a bit of plastic to sit on. Grab your vest as you head out the door, and you won't waste one moment of precious birding time.

Where's my bird book? Wearing your Birders' Buddy, you'll always have your field guide right when you need it. And both hands are free for your binoculars.

Specifications

Material: Sturdy poplin.The front closes with plastic snap fasteners.

Color: Tan. (No orange-and-purple day-glo extravaganzas here!)

Sizes: SM-MED and L-XL. Most people take the SM-MED. In fact, at first the vest was made in only that size. The design, with the Velcro side fasteners, means there is a great deal of lee-way in the fit. However, if you are over 6 feet tall or otherwise extra large, you might prefer the L-XL. (We can help you with this decision if you are in doubt.)

Pockets: All pockets have Velcro closures, including the two small chest pockets.The large bottom pockets are 9 1/2" wide by 8" deep. The small top pockets are 2 3/4" by 4 3/4". Back pocket measures 12" X 13".
