On
Saturday, April 13, 2002, at least six Yellow-throated Warblers
had returned to the Ely Ford area of Lacey Keosauqua State Park,
Iowa. We found them immediately in the bare trees because of their
loud, musical songs. A week earlier the birds were not yet present.
These
warblers spend most of the time in the tops of the tall sycamores.
When the trees leaf out, it will become difficult to see the tiny
birds, and photographing them will be almost impossible.
