This Morning Outside

The sun just set. Dark-eyed junco clicks in the cherry tree. It wants to go to its roost in the spreading juniper. But I'm standing in the way.

Pose for me a moment, Junco, and then I'll leave you alone so you can go to bed. It pleases me that juncos shelter by the corner of my house, just a few feet from where I sleep.
