Subtly the season shifts. Wild plums ripen. Birds watch for the coming feast.
Brown thrasher is among the birds who love the fruits of late summer.
When the wild plums are fully ripe, the birds will be all over them. Catbirds, robins, cedar waxwings, bluebirds, and grosbeaks also love fruit in season.
