Bluebird HouseThis Morning Outside

by Diane Porter

June 27, 2009
In the garden birdhouse at Birdwatching Dot Com
Fairfield, Iowa

Yesterday morning the birdhouse in the garden held one blue egg and three baby birds. In the afternoon there were four babies and no egg. So today the chicks are one day old.

It is hard for me to convince myself that this blind, naked creature will turn into a bird. Look at its little wing.
