Shoebill
Jim Evans photographed this shoebill with the big smile on its faced in Murchison NP, Uganda, near the delta where the White Nile meets Lake Albert. This photo is a record of a very close encounter with a Shoebill. Normally a very shy bird, this particular individual's was so curious that it came within feet of the bow of Evans' small boat to investigate his camera flash.
