Hummingbird's Ruby Lantern
by Schrodt
Pictures from the Birdwatching Dot Com Garden

The hummingbirds found the Ruby Hummingbird Lantern within a few minutes of when we hung it in the garden. Here are two female ruby-throated hummingbirds who started feeding from it.
It's a little hard to see in the photo above how nice the details are in the base. The photo below gives an idea of the beautiful metal feeding ports and the lathed base, which is made of recycled redwood.

We love this feeder!

Schrodt Hummingbird Lanterns are also available in some other lovely colors. We're also rather smitten with the Spectacular Cobalt Hummingbird Lantern.
We find this feeder very easy to clean. We use the Hummingbirds' Best Brush Kit, which has one brush that works great for the glass chamber and another special brush that makes it easy to clean the feeding ports where the hummers put their tongues.
