This Morning Outside

by Diane Porter

June 24, 2010
In a grassy field near Birdwatching Dot Com
Fairfield, Iowa

Bobolinks are doing well this year in the grassy field. Several males, like the one below, were singing there this morning. Their song sounds like all kinds of different birdsongs being played at once, but speeded up tenfold.
