This Morning Outside

Mourning Doves -- such pretty birds! And they look gentle.

But when one is eating sunflower seeds that have fallen from the feeders to the porch and a chipmunk comes along to get its share, the mourning dove gets agressive. It raises one wing (or sometimes both) quickly, showing the white underside. This scares the chipmunk off... for a few seconds.

I guess that isn't all that agressive, when you think about it.
