This Morning Outsideby Diane PorterMay 5, 2010 The beautiful but shy Eastern Towhee has recently returned to Iowa. Here is the female, high overhead in a locust tree. The male is black where she is brown. He sings, Drink your tea, with the tea higher pitched, drawn out, and emphasized. More of a tee-ee-ee, sort of trilled.
