This Morning Outside

by Diane Porter

April 12, 2010
At Birdwatching Dot Com
Fairfield, Iowa

This week the eastern phoebes have been constructing a sweet nest of moss and fibers under our eaves. It's a spot sheltered from rain, inaccessible to predators, and, best of all from my point of view, visible from inside the house!

Here one of the pair is bringing something soft for the nest lining.
